This morning we woke to a slightly overcast day. Before too long we had a shower of rain and then the sky cleared and the sun came out and stayed out until about 4pm. Then it suddenly got really cold, the clouds came in and looked very angry. Lightning flashed, thunder clapped and then all of a sudden it started to hail. Just lightly to start with but within seconds it got very very heavy. This lasted maybe ten or fifteen minutes and at the end the ground was transformed. It so looked like it had snowed.  I hope it hasn’t damaged any of the fruit trees in the garden, or, for that matter, the garden itself.Â
I dont think I have ever seen hail like this before!.
